Session outline: PATH-SAFE is a 4-year, UK wide and cross government programme, led by the FSA. The programme is piloting the development of a national surveillance network, using the latest DNA-sequencing technology and environmental sampling, to improve the detection and tracking of foodborne human pathogens and associated AMR through the whole agri-food system from farm-to-fork. In this session, partners from the PATH-SAFE Programme share their work and their experiences of collaborating across, and beyond, government.

Session outline: Collaboration is a catalyst for innovation, facilitating the interchange of ideas and creativity. As we look to build a more innovative public sector, finding mechanisms to enable this interchange will be crucial. In this turbo talk, we will spotlight a new approach to do just this – STEM Futures. You will hear more about the exciting opportunities of STEM Futures and from a range of speakers who have already utilised this approach for cross-sector collaboration.
