Peter Dubens, Managing Partner
Peter Dubens is the founder and Managing Partner of the Oakley Capital Group, a privately-owned asset management group comprising Private Equity and Venture Capital.
Peter founded Oakley Capital in 2002 to be a best-of-breed entrepreneurially driven UK investment house, creating an ecosystem that supports the companies Oakley Capital invests in whether they are early-stage companies or established businesses
David Till, Senior Partner
David Till co-founded the Oakley Capital Group in 2002 with Peter Dubens. David plays a key role within the group and has overall responsibility for operations, finance, due diligence, compliance and fund formation.
David worked with Peter Dubens on the development of 365 Media Group plc and Pipex Communications plc where he led all the 26 acquisitions and disposals between 2002 and 2007. In 2007 following the sale of both 365 Media Group plc and Pipex Communications plc, Peter and David launched Oakley Capital Private Equity.
David holds a BA (Hons) in Economics from Essex University. He started his career in the British Army, then later qualified as a chartered accountant with Coopers & Lybrand and worked in industry as a finance director, before returning to the profession holding senior M&A roles.
Rebecca Gibson, Partner
Rebecca joined Oakley in 2014 and has over 19 years of private equity investment experience. Rebecca’s responsibilities include managing the investment committee and the investment team, as well as leading the Stakeholder Engagement Team. Rebecca also has some portfolio responsibilities and oversees, with David Till, the portfolio review process.
Prior to joining Oakley, Rebecca was a partner at Cinven. During her 12-year career at Cinven, she led and worked on deals in the healthcare, consumer and service sectors across Europe, and assisted with several successful fundraisings. Prior to joining Cinven, Rebecca spent five years working as a strategy consultant at Bain & Company in the UK and South Africa.
Rebecca holds a BA (Hons) in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Oxford University.
Alex Collins, Partner
Alex joined Oakley in 2007 and has over 24 years of private equity investment and operational experience Alex’s focus at Oakley is primarily on deal origination, execution, and investment advice.
Alex began his career at GE Capital in 1995 before being seconded to Advent International for two years as Associate Director. He subsequently joined Henderson Private Capital as Principal. Alex joined Oakley in 2007 from Wharfedale Capital where he was a Partner involved in purchasing secondary assets.
Alex holds an MSc from the London School of Economics and a BA in Economic History from Union College, New York.
David Brickell, Partner
David joined Oakley in 2013 and has over 20 years of principal investing, M&A and operational experience. David’s focus at Oakley is primarily on deal origination, execution and investment advice.
David started his career at Credit Suisse’s Principal Transaction Group in 1998 in New York and London, before moving to Morgan Stanley in London where he focused on media and telecoms M&A and private equity. He then moved to Candover, where he was an Investment Director involved in a wide range of prospective, completed and exited deals and he also jointly set up Candover’s Asian operations in Hong Kong. He subsequently spent four years as the co-founder and COO of a SaaS internet start-up before joining Oakley in 2013.
David holds an MBA with Distinction from INSEAD Business School in France/Singapore, and an MA (Oxon) in Law from Pembroke College, Oxford.
Arthur Mornington, Partner
Arthur joined Oakley in 2016 and has over 20 years of private equity investing experience. Arthur’s focus at Oakley is primarily on deal origination, execution and investment advice.
Prior to joining Oakley, Arthur was a Partner at Charterhouse Capital Partners where he worked for 10 years. During his time at Charterhouse he was involved in the origination, execution and management of a number of the firm’s successful investments – especially in the media, education and business services sectors. He started his career at Bain & Company and has also worked at BC Partners and Exponent Private Equity.
Arthur holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and an honours degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Christ Church, Oxford.
Ralf Schremper, Partner
Ralf joined Oakley in 2017 and has over 19 years of M&A and investment experience. Ralf’s focus at Oakley is primarily on deal origination, execution and investment advice.
Prior to joining Oakley, Ralf served as a Member of the Executive Board and Chief Strategy and Investment Officer of DAX-listed ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE, the publicly listed German media company. In this role, he was directly responsible for the Company’s strategic acquisitions in recent years, significantly contributing to the expansion of ProSiebenSat.1’s digital entertainment and commerce portfolio. Previously, he held senior positions at Bertelsmann, RTL Group, and was founder and CEO of an online education start-up.
Ralf holds a PhD in Finance (summa cum laude) from University of Bochum and a Master in Business Administration (Diplom-Kaufmann) from University of Cologne.
Steven Tredget, Partner
Steven joined Oakley in 2017 and has more than 18 years of investment banking experience. Steven’s focus is fund raising, communications and investor relations for Oakley and its portfolio companies.
Prior to joining Oakley, Steven was a founding partner of investment bank Liberum Capital. Over 9 years he raised equity capital for hundreds of companies and advised on public market listings. He began his career in 1997 at Collins Stewart, where he held equity research and sales roles.
Sam Fenton-Whittet, Partner
Sam joined Oakley in 2015 and focuses primarily on deal origination, execution and investment advice. During his time at Oakley, Sam has worked on Oakley’s investments in Time Out Market, IU Group, Schülerhilfe, Inspired, Ocean Technologies Group and ICP Education.
Prior to joining Oakley, Sam was Speechwriter and Private Secretary to the Chancellor of the Exchequer, George Osborne. He previously worked in a number of finance positions in HM Treasury, including as senior adviser responsible for coordinating the government’s £40bn annual capital budget.
Sam holds an MA (Oxon) in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Balliol College, Oxford.
Samir Kumar
is co-founder and General Partner at Touring Capital. Before co-founding Touring, Samir was a Managing Partner at M12 (Microsoft’s Venture Fund), where he led investment activities in horizontal / vertical AI, deep tech, and hardware-enabled software companies. Samir’s notable investments include Applied Intuition, Psi Quantum, Wandelbots, Syntiant, D-Matrix, Regrow, and Netradyne. Samir previously held senior product and strategic business development roles at Qualcomm, Samsung, and Microsoft. He developed a strong passion for AI after delving deep into neural networks a decade ago; this ultimately paved his path to becoming a venture investor. Samir is a graduate of Cornell University.”
Alessandro Celli, Managing Director
Alessandro joined Oakley in 2020 and has 15 years of private equity and management experience. Alessandro’s focus at Oakley is deal origination, execution and investment advice.
Before joining Oakley, Alessandro worked at Deliveroo in various general management roles, serving more recently as a Member of the Executive Team and Chief Business Officer for the UK&I region. Prior to Deliveroo, he was the founder and CEO of an e-commerce start-up and a member of the investment team at Francisco Partners and Providence Equity Partners, where he focused on TMT investments across Europe. He started his career in investment banking with Morgan Stanley.
Alessandro studied in Milan and London and holds a MSc in Business and Law from Bocconi University in Milan.
Valero Domingo, Partner
Valero joined Oakley in 2021 and has over 15 years of principal investing, M&A and operational experience. Valero’s focus at Oakley is primarily on deal origination, execution and investment advice.
Valero started his investing career in 2008 at the private equity team of 3i Group before moving to JP Morgan to develop the European market for Highbridge, their alternative investments fund. In 2016, he joined Charme Capital Partners, where he participated in a wide variety of private equity deals and established the Madrid office.
Valero holds an MBA from Columbia Business School in New York, as well as an MS in Civil Engineering from the University of Granada after being awarded a full grant to study at the University of California, Irvine (USA).
Vivio Berardi, Capital Markets Director
Vivio joined Oakley in 2023 and has over 10 years of private equity, capital markets and investment banking experience. Vivio’s focus at Oakley is primarily to lead our capital markets activity across funds.
Prior to joining Oakley, Vivio worked at ION Group, a technology-focused investment holding company, in a variety of investing, financing and operating positions. Prior to this, Vivio worked at Credit Suisse in a number of roles in their investment banking and asset management divisions.
Vivio holds a Bachelor of Economics and Finance from Bocconi University in Milan.
Andre Augustin, Managing Director
Andre joined Oakley in 2020 and has over 15 years of private equity, principal investing and leveraged finance experience. Andre’s focus at Oakley is primarily on deal origination, execution and investment advice.
Prior to joining Oakley, Andre led the Principal Investment effort for Macquarie Capital in the German speaking region. Prior to that, he worked for Warburg Pincus’ TMT & Business Services team and for the mid-market private equity firm Cognetas. Andre started his career at JPMorgan in Leveraged
Finance. During his time at these firms, he has been involved in a number of transactions and held various advisory board positions.
Andre studied in Paris, Oxford and Berlin and holds a MSc in Management, a Diplôme de Grande École and a Diplom-Kaufmann from ESCP Europe.
Jan Woods, Partner
Jan joined Oakley in 2022 and has 32 years’ experience helping businesses develop and execute impactful HR strategies. At Oakley, Jan is responsible for helping our portfolio companies create future-ready organisations focussing on Organisation Design, Talent Strategies, and Team Performance.
Jan advises management teams on how to attract and retain the best human talent, and build strong systems and cultures. Previously, Jan was a Director at a consumer-focused investor private equity firm for over ten years. Before that, she held a series of senior, international HR roles at PepsiCo and IBM. Jan has a BA in Theology and an MBA in Business Administration.
Aris Valtazanos, Head of Data Analysis
Aris joined Oakley in 2024 and has over 15 years of experience in data, analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI). Aris’s focus at Oakley is to help portfolio companies identify, plan, and implement data and AI initiatives, while improving how data is used across the investment lifecycle.
Prior to joining Oakley, Aris was the Chief Scientist at WovenLight, a data and analytics firm focused on value creation for private equity-owned portfolio companies. Before that, Aris was an Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company’s AI division QuantumBlack, where he led multiple analytics consulting projects spanning industries such as pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, banking, and public sector.
Aris holds a Ph.D. in Robotics and a B.Sc. (Hons) in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, both from the University of Edinburgh.
Viral Mehta, Managing Director
Viral joined Oakley in 2023 and has a rich experience of over 16 years in private equity and investment banking. Viral’s focus at Oakley is primarily on deal origination, execution and investment advice with a focus on the Technology sector.
Prior to joining Oakley, Viral worked for 13 years at Bridgepoint, where he led investment efforts focused on Technology and Healthcare. He has invested in companies like Fenergo, Kyriba, Oasis Dental Care, Moneycorp and Care UK. Viral started his career in M&A with Lehman Brothers and later moved to Nomura.
Viral holds a BA in Economics and Management from Hertford College, University of Oxford, UK.
Aga Siemiginowska, Head of Sustainability
Aga joined Oakley in 2020 and has over 13 years of experience in sustainability and environmental risk. Aga’s focus at Oakley is to support the incorporation of environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors into the investment process, and to engage with portfolio companies on ESG topics and projects.
Prior to joining Oakley, Aga served as the interim Head of ESG at Permira, working with deal teams and directly with portfolio companies. Before this, Aga spent 12 years as an environmental consultant, first at ERM then at Ramboll, advising corporate and financial sector clients on environmental risks and opportunities.
Aga holds an MSc in Nature, Society and Environmental Policy from Oxford University and a BA (Hons) in Geography and Political Science from Rutgers University, USA.
Mike Mutsaers, Managing Director
Mike joined Oakley in 2018 and focuses primarily on deal origination, execution and investment advice.
Prior to joining Oakley, Mike worked at Bain & Company, working on corporate strategy and re-organisation projects across a range of industries, as well as multiple commercial due-diligence projects as part of the private equity practice. Previously, Mike worked at Slaughter and May, where he focused on corporate and M&A advisory, as well as debt and equity capital markets.
Mike is a qualified solicitor and holds a BA (Hons) in International History from the London School of Economics.
Lovis von Andrian
Lovis joined Oakley in 2016 and focuses primarily on deal origination, execution and investment advice.
During his time at Oakley, he has worked on a number of Oakley‘s current and realised investments including WebPros, Contabo, Windstar Medical, Ocean Technologies Group, TechInsights and Parship Group. Lovis is based in London and focuses particularly on the Technology sector in the UK and Germany.
Prior to joining Oakley, Lovis worked at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in the Equity Funds Team and in PwC’s Transaction Services team in London.
Lovis is a qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA) and holds a BSc (Hons) in Management from Royal Holloway, University of London.
